Founded in Mühlacker in 1933 by Wilhelm Kicherer to manufacture floor cleaning appliances, Fakir is today one of the leading international household appliance manufacturers. With the expansion of its product range to include heating and air conditioning units, fans, and small domestic appliances, as well as opening up global markets, the flourishing family business quickly reached its spatial limits. The move to the new company headquarters in nearby Vaihingen/Enz in 1978 created new production capacities with the option to expand even further later on. In 2017, Fakir—an acronym for "Familie Kicherer" (Kicherer Family)—once again expanded its production facilities in Vaihingen/Enz. This guarantees the proven Fakir quality and therefore the subtle difference, now and in the future. Experience it for yourself!
